BOBBI NEWMAN

Bobbi is the Academy’s founder member and Dance Principal.
She is fully trained and qualified with the UKA and ADFP association. She competed both nationally and internationally in freestyle disco before turning professional. Bobbi appeared on Come Dancing and has done several videos on dance and health and beauty. She combines her great experience and real passion for dance to provide a unique and highly enjoyable learning experience to her students.

Bobbi is a qualified championship adjudicator in both freestyle and rock and roll. She is also a fully licensed freestyle promoter. Bobbi is frequently out of the country passing on her skills and knowledge to other dancers around the world. Besides freestyle, she teaches street, rock and roll, cheerleading, slow dance and theatre. She is also a fully qualified Zumba instructor.

Sophie began singing and dancing the age of 6 when she joined the Kentwood Junior Choir under the instruction of Sheila Harrod and the Tanwood School of Dance. At 16 Sophie took up her full time place to train The Judith Hockaday School of Dance & Drama, where she completeted her FDI's (Foundation in Dance Instruction) and her CDE's (Certificate in Dance Instruction) in ISTD Imperial Ballet, National Dance, Modern Theatre Dance and Tap Dance. She has successfully completed Voice Grades 1-7 with the Associated Board (ABRSM) and has gained her Diploma in Musical Theatre with the London College of Music. She has also gained Grades 1-5 Piano and 1-5 Theory (both ABRSM).
Performance experience includes: Dancer in Thoroughly Modern Millie, My Fair Lady, Singing in the Rain, Godspell. Fizzy in Bugsy Malone, understudy for Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof . Sophie has taken part in Youth Projects at the Wyvern. She has sung in many performances of Bill Kenwright’s touring productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A tribute to Abba and A Night at the Musicals with Duncan Breeze. Whilst living in Ireland, Sophie reached the quarter finals of the All Ireland singing competition and was also the chosen soloist for Elaine Paige on her visit to Ireland.

GEORGINA MARSH

Georgina started dancing aged three and appeared in dance shows and competitions from the age of 4, she also won medals in the All England Regional Finals and the All England Finals in London.

She has danced in SALOS musicals and Swindon youth projects. She also appeared in the current series of ITV’s ‘Lewis’.
